✔️ Pharmacology
Dotinurad, the active ingredient in Dotfix 1, selectively inhibits URAT1, preventing the reabsorption of uric acid in the kidneys. This leads to increased uric acid excretion, thereby lowering serum uric acid levels. Unlike some other urate-lowering drugs, Dotfix 1 has minimal impact on other uric acid transporters like ABCG2, OAT1, and OAT3, making it highly selective and efficient.
